Marcus King Arrested After Taking Items from Crash in Connecticut

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) – A Connecticut man was arrested after allegedly stealing items that had spilled onto the highway following a semitruck rollover crash.

The incident happened early Sunday morning on the Interstate 84 westbound Exit 42 off-ramp. Connecticut State Police were alerted by a wrong-way driver detection system and later observed a man on camera walking up to the crash site and collecting scattered items.

Troopers quickly located the suspect vehicle and identified the driver as 51-year-old Marcus King. Police said King had several items in his possession that were traced back to the crash scene.

He was arrested and charged with driving the wrong way on a limited access highway, negligent pedestrian on a highway, and fourth-degree larceny.

King has since been released on a $10,000 bond. Authorities have not specified what the stolen items were, and the investigation is ongoing.
