Mapusa Police Arrest Three Women from Karnataka for Stealing Valuables

Mapusa police have arrested Saroja Pawar, Subhava Lamani, and Renuka Chikre, three women from Karnataka, for allegedly stealing valuables worth over Rs2 lakh from two houses in Moira. The stolen items included tablets, a camera, and gold jewelry.

The women, originally from Gadag, Karnataka, were residing in nearby areas such as Guirim and Tivim, working as scrap collectors. Local residents in Moira caught the suspects in the act and quickly alerted the police, who apprehended the women at the scene.

The Mapusa police have launched an investigation to determine whether this theft is part of a larger, organized crime network. Further inquiries are ongoing.
