The case involving Shrimathi alias Unnimaya, a suspected Maoist, who was arrested in connection with the 2011 murder of Sadashiva Gowda, a bamboo basket weaver, has been transferred to the Udupi Principal District and Sessions Court.

The decision to transfer the case was made by Principal Civil Judge and JMFC Karkala, R.C. Komala, on December 10, 2024. This marks a significant development in the long-running investigation into the brutal murder of Sadashiva Gowda, whose death occurred in December 2011 under suspicious circumstances.
