Mangaluru Police Arrest Six in Shop and House Theft Cases

Mangaluru police have successfully apprehended six individuals in connection with thefts at a shop in Pumpwell and a house within the Konaje Police Station limits. Stolen items worth several lakhs have been recovered from the suspects.

Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal confirmed that on July 8, two individuals—Mohammad Nazir Houseil Khan (27) and Ilyas Khan—were arrested for a theft at a shop in the Pumpwell area under Kankanady Police Station limits. The suspects, both from Uttar Pradesh, had stolen cash worth Rs. 10 lakhs, which was recovered during the operation.

In a separate case, four individuals were arrested for a burglary at a house within the Konaje Police Station jurisdiction. The arrested suspects—Mohammad Siyab, Mohammad Arfaz, Safwan, and Mohammad Jamsheer—had stolen gold jewelry and other items valued at Rs. 12.50 lakhs. The stolen property was successfully seized by the authorities.
