Mangaluru Police Arrest Asif and Niyaz for Selling Marijuana Near Pilikula

Mangaluru Rural Police have arrested Asif (34) and Niyaz N.A. (40), residents of Jodumarga near Mood village, for illegally selling marijuana near the Pilikula Doordarshan Centre on the outskirts of the city.

The two accused were allegedly involved in transporting and selling marijuana to the public and college students on January 2. Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid and seized 958 grams of marijuana, valued at approximately ₹20,000, along with mobile phones from the accused.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Mangaluru Rural Police Station Inspector K.R. Shivakumar, with assistance from Sub-Inspectors Arun Kumar D. and Puneet, and officers Sajunayar, Mahesh, Akkar, and Thirumalesh. The accused are now in police custody, and investigations are ongoing.
