Man Arrested After Machete Attack Outside Circle K in Osceola County

OSCEOLA COUNTY, FL — A man was arrested Monday following a violent machete attack outside a Circle K convenience store on West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Angel Ramos-Arce, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon after allegedly striking another man with a machete during a verbal altercation on June 9.

A sheriff’s deputy patrolling the area was flagged down by a woman who reported that her brother had just been assaulted with a machete and was on his way to the hospital—in the same vehicle as the suspect.

Deputies later located the victim at a local hospital and confirmed that his injuries were consistent with a machete attack.

An investigation led authorities to Ramos-Arce’s vehicle, where they discovered blood inside the truck and recovered a machete in the bed of the vehicle, believed to be the weapon used in the assault.

Ramos-Arce was subsequently arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.

The victim’s condition has not been disclosed, and the case remains under investigation.
