Man and Wife Arrested for Killing Brother in Devbhoomi Dwarka

In a shocking incident, a 42-year-old man and his wife were arrested for allegedly killing his younger brother in Manipur Habardi village of Devbhoomi Dwarka district on the early morning of March 8.

The local crime branch (LCB) took Arjan Karmur and his wife Jashi into custody for the brutal murder of Veera Karmur. The investigation revealed that the crime was the result of a longstanding family feud that had been simmering for over two years.

LCB Inspector Akash Barasiya stated that suspicions arose when Arjan and Jashi did not attend Veera’s funeral. Instead, they traveled to Khambhaliya, which prompted authorities to bring Arjan back from Khambhaliya for questioning. During the interrogation, Arjan confessed to strangling his brother.

Arjan explained that the tension between him and his younger brother had been escalating for quite some time. He claimed that Veera had repeatedly insulted him, his wife, and their daughter, even threatening to kill them. The situation worsened in the days leading up to the murder when Veera reportedly visited their farm daily, continuing to insult them. This built-up anger ultimately led to the tragic incident.

The police are continuing their investigation into the case and are examining the dynamics of the family dispute that resulted in this fatal altercation.
