Major Drug Bust in Ridgeland Leads to Child Endangerment Charges

On October 1, 2024, the Ridgeland Police Street Crimes Unit and Narcotics Detectives, with assistance from the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, executed a narcotics search warrant at 296 Planters Grove in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

During the operation, detectives seized approximately 9.7 pounds of marijuana, 32 ounces of THC wax, and about 2.7 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms. Additionally, two handguns and two AR-style pistols were recovered from the premises. Disturbingly, an 11-month-old child was found asleep in a bedroom, in close proximity to the unsecured firearms and narcotics. Child Protective Services was notified, and the child was placed in the custody of a family member.

Justyn Wilson, 26, of Ridgeland, was arrested and charged with several offenses, including trafficking a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence, and child endangerment. The investigation continues as authorities address the serious implications of the case.
