Madisonville Man Arrested After Intoxicated Incident with Knife

A Madisonville man was arrested on several charges after a disturbing incident on Sunday evening. Police were called to Beards Court around 7:30 p.m. after reports of an intoxicated man waving a knife.

Upon arrival, officers found Caleb Jones, who was yelling and cursing. He had a small bag of methamphetamine near his feet. As officers attempted to speak with Jones, he reportedly balled up his fists and lunged toward them while continuing to yell and curse.

According to the Madisonville Police Department (MPD), Jones’s eyes were bloodshot, indicating he was under the influence at the time. He was subsequently arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Jail.

Jones faces multiple charges, including menacing, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and possession of methamphetamine.
