Madison Faye Kramer Arrested for Assault and Drug Charges in Rock Rapids

by Sophia Bennett

ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa — Madison Faye Kramer, 26, of Rock Rapids, was arrested early Saturday morning, March 15, on several charges, including second-offense possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), assault, and interference with official acts.

The arrest was linked to a domestic dispute between Kramer and her mother in rural Rock Rapids. According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the argument began the night before and escalated when Kramer struck her mother multiple times with a closed fist on the head and also hit her hand with her cellphone.

When law enforcement arrived, Kramer became increasingly agitated. Upon being informed that she was under arrest, she resisted and became combative. Officers had to use force to subdue her, and she was taken to the ground before being handcuffed.

At the Lyon County Jail in Rock Rapids, a search of Kramer’s belongings revealed a small blunt containing a green leafy substance that field-tested positive for marijuana.

Kramer was booked into jail and is facing charges related to the assault, resisting arrest, and drug possession.
