Ludhiana Police Arrest Two Youths with 260g Heroin, Seize Drugs

Ludhiana police arrested two youths, Karan Kalra and Gurmeet Singh, on charges of possessing 260 grams of heroin. The arrest was made by the crime branch team after receiving a tip-off.

On January 28, while patrolling near Global Hospital on Ferozepur Road, the police team spotted the suspects traveling in an Innova car. After stopping the vehicle and conducting a search, the police discovered the heroin in their possession.

According to ADCP Amandeep Singh Brar, the accused were immediately booked under the NDPS Act. Both are currently under a four-day police remand for further investigation.

The police are now investigating how the accused acquired the heroin and their intended destination for its distribution. Authorities are also looking into whether the accused have been using profits from drug trafficking to make investments in properties.
