Ludhiana Police Arrest Three Drug Peddlers, Seize Heroin and Tablets

The Ludhiana (Rural) Police have successfully arrested three individuals involved in drug-related crimes, recovering a significant amount of narcotics in two separate incidents.

In the first incident, Sandeep Singh, alias Sunny, a member of a Bathinda-based drug smuggling gang, was apprehended near the grain market at Manuke village late on Sunday night. Sandeep, hailing from Machhana village in Bathinda district, was found in possession of 307 grams of heroin and other paraphernalia used for distributing drugs to addicts. The police had intensified surveillance in the region after receiving information about the suspect’s activities. The arrest was made by a team led by Jagraon CIA in-charge Kikkar Singh and investigating officer Manohar.

In a separate incident, the Raikot Police arrested Harjit Singh and Jaswinder Singh, both from Lohatbaddi village, for possessing habit-forming tablets. The arrests were made at the village grain market late on Sunday night by a team under the supervision of Raikot Sadar SHO Kulwinder Singh.

Ludhiana (Rural) SSP Navneet Singh Bains confirmed that these arrests were part of a joint operation targeting drug peddlers in the Raikot subdivision. Further investigations will be conducted to uncover the suspects’ connections to other drug networks.
