Ludhiana Man Arrested for Stealing Rs 6 Lakh from Bike Showroom

In a shocking turn of events, a 20-year-old man from Ludhiana, identified as Hasan Khan, was arrested by Delhi Police for stealing Rs 6 lakh in cash and electronic items from his workplace in Naraina. Khan, a technical expert at a bike showroom, carried out the theft after his request for a salary increase was denied. To avoid detection, he wore a helmet and turned off the lights at the showroom.

The theft took place on December 31, and Khan allegedly planned the heist after being disappointed by the management’s refusal. The police, after analyzing footage from over 100 CCTV cameras, identified him as the suspect. Following his arrest, the police recovered Rs 5 lakh in cash and two expensive cameras from Khan’s possession.

In a separate incident, Samajwadi Party MP Zia ur Rahman Barq was booked by the police for power theft after an inspection revealed meter tampering at his residence. Officials from the state electricity department discovered one of the two meters at Barq’s residence showed zero power consumption despite being functional for six months.

The FIR was registered under Section 135 of the Indian Electricity Act, 2003, for tampering with electricity meters. The electricity department’s visit was met with resistance, with Barq’s father allegedly threatening the officials during the inspection.
