Lohit Das Arrested in Assam Job Scam Targeting Five Youths

Dispur Police have apprehended an individual for allegedly orchestrating a job scam that defrauded five unsuspecting youths. The arrested suspect, identified as Lohit Das, a physical instructor from Dibrugarh, was found issuing counterfeit appointment letters for roles at the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare.

Reports indicate that Das enticed his victims with promises of government jobs, ultimately extracting a total of Rs30 lakh from them. Each victim received fraudulent appointment letters, which misled them into believing they had secured genuine employment.

Following a thorough investigation by city police, Das, who has already been suspended from his position, was taken into custody. Authorities are now conducting further inquiries to identify any additional accomplices or connections involved in this deceptive scheme.
