Leticia Lopez Fernandez Arrested for $139K Theft in Paterson

Authorities in Passaic County have announced the arrest of 32-year-old Leticia Lopez Fernandez from Paterson. The arrest took place on November 4 following an investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Financial Crimes Unit, as stated by Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.

Ms. Lopez Fernandez has been charged with one count of second-degree Theft. According to officials, the investigation revealed that on September 17, 2021, she allegedly stole approximately $139,947.99 through money orders generated while she was employed at CityRx Pharmacy in Paterson.

In New Jersey, a second-degree Theft charge carries a sentencing exposure of five to ten years in state prison. Prosecutor Valdes confirmed that Ms. Lopez Fernandez was arrested and processed without incident. She will be released on pre-trial monitoring and is scheduled to appear at the Central Judicial Processing Court at a later date.
