Leonardo Deva Nabbed in Rs18L Drug Bust at Mapusa Bus Stand

In a major anti-narcotics operation, Mapusa Police arrested Leonardo Deva, a 22-year-old resident of Guirim, for allegedly possessing 180 grams of hydroponic weed, a high-value narcotic substance. The arrest took place at the New KTC Bus Stand in Mapusa, following a tip-off.

The contraband is estimated to be worth around Rs18 lakh in the illegal drug market, police sources confirmed. Acting swiftly, officers from the Mapusa Police Station intercepted Deva and found the drugs concealed in his possession.

Authorities are now conducting a deeper investigation to trace the supply chain and potential distribution network tied to the accused. This incident adds to the growing concern over drug trafficking activities in Goa’s urban zones.
