Leonard R. Hunter, 27, of Chicago, was arrested on February 11 after New Lenox police discovered child pornography on his phone during an investigation into a robbery and burglary.
Hunter had previously been arrested on January 27 in connection with the robbery at Food N’ Fuel, a gas station in New Lenox, which took place on January 10. As part of that investigation, detectives obtained a search warrant for Hunter’s phone. During their search, they found 68 files containing explicit material, leading to charges of child pornography.
Hunter has been charged with three counts of possession of child pornography and is currently held at the Will County Adult Detention Facility awaiting a pre-trial detention hearing.
