Leon Leager Arrested for Theft of Campers in Delaware

ELLENDALE, DELAWARE – Leon Leager, a 39-year-old resident of Ellendale, Delaware, was arrested on January 15, 2025, after being identified as the suspect in the theft of two pull-behind campers from a property in Greenwood.

On January 12, 2025, Delaware State Police responded to a call reporting the theft of two campers from the 10000 block of Blacksmith Shop Road in Greenwood. Investigators learned that on January 10th, a black pickup truck was used to steal a 28-foot Keystone Kodiak camper, and the next day, January 11th, a similar truck was used to steal a 32-foot Prowler camper from the same location.

After conducting an investigation, detectives identified Leon Leager as the prime suspect. They also recovered the stolen Prowler camper, which had been damaged during the theft. Authorities are still searching for the Keystone Kodiak camper and are urging the public to come forward with any information about its whereabouts.

On January 15, 2025, Leager was arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including:

Burglary 3rd Degree (Felony)
Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony) – 2 counts
Criminal Mischief, $5000 or more (Felony)
Theft under $1,500
Criminal Mischief under $1,000
Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree
Leager was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $10,150 unsecured bond.
