Leesburg Woman Arrested for Stealing $600 in Scratch-Off Tickets

Brandi Jill Warner faces retail theft charges after taking lottery tickets from Sunoco

Brandi Jill Warner, 49, of Leesburg, was arrested for retail theft after allegedly stealing $600 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets from a Sunoco station in Howey-in-the-Hills.

On Monday, January 30, Warner was caught on surveillance footage taking 60 $10 scratch-off tickets from a box behind the counter. The total value of the tickets was $600. After the incident, Warner was seen outside the store wearing the same clothes, including a grey hoodie and carrying a cane and black backpack. When confronted by the officer, she admitted to stealing the tickets.

Warner was charged with retail theft and transported to Lake County Jail. She was later released after posting a $500 bond.
