Lateef Oladigbolu Charged in N28M Spiritual Scam Case

A 28-year-old man, Lateef Oladigbolu, is in hot water in Lagos State for allegedly teaming up with fake native doctors to swindle N28 million from a victim, Adelakin Saheed, under the pretense of providing spiritual assistance.

Reports indicate that Oladigbolu has been arrested and charged with conspiracy and fraud. Over several years, from 2021 to 2024, he reportedly took Saheed to various native doctors while extorting money in the guise of offering spiritual prayers.

Problems began when Saheed realized that the undisclosed issues that led him to seek help from these doctors only worsened, leading him to suspect he had been scammed.

Community members claimed Oladigbolu promised multiple native doctors who would perform spiritual exercises to resolve Saheed’s issues. Trusting him, Saheed handed over the money, only to find that the prayers did not work.

When Saheed demanded a refund, Oladigbolu allegedly began threatening him. This prompted Saheed to report the situation to the Oke-Oba Division of the police, resulting in Oladigbolu’s arrest and subsequent detention for questioning regarding the alleged fraud.
