Las Cruces, N.M. — Nancy Marshall, a 58-year-old therapist and owner of Equine Assisted Programs of Southern New Mexico, has been indicted on 18 felony charges related to submitting fraudulent Medicaid claims totaling nearly $1 million.
Marshall, who operates a program using farm animals, including horses, in therapy, is facing serious legal consequences after being charged with Medicaid fraud, falsification of documents, and identity theft. According to the New Mexico Department of Justice, the fraudulent claims amounted to $970,000.
