Lake Jackson Man Charged in Connection with Stolen Vehicle

A Lake Jackson man remains in a Brazoria County jail after being charged on Saturday in connection with a stolen vehicle from Santa Fe. Riley Calhoun, 20, is currently held on $20,000 bond on a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to jail records.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on the 18000 block of State Highway 6. The vehicle was later located in Lake Jackson. During a traffic stop, Calhoun was arrested and found in possession of burglary tools, stolen license plates, keys to other vehicles believed to be stolen, and ski masks, the sheriff’s office reports.

The investigation is ongoing, and Calhoun faces further charges related to the stolen items and potential involvement in other criminal activity.
