Zoya Khan, dubbed the ‘Lady Don’ of Delhi, was arrested in a significant drug bust by the Delhi Police. The 33-year-old was detained in the Welcome area of northeast Delhi while in possession of 270 grams of heroin. The seized narcotics are valued at approximately Rs 1 crore in the international market.
Zoya Khan is the wife of Hashim Baba, a notorious gangster currently in jail for his alleged involvement in the murder of a gym owner in Greater Kailash, South Delhi. Despite her husband’s incarceration, Zoya continued to run his criminal empire, allegedly managing his gang’s operations and trafficking drugs. She is suspected to have sourced the heroin from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh.
Authorities had long suspected Zoya’s role in drug trafficking but had been unable to link her to any crimes until now. This time, the police intercepted a tip-off regarding an unknown individual delivering the drugs to her. Despite her ability to keep a low profile and avoid capture, Zoya was finally arrested, and her husband’s long list of charges, including murder, extortion, and arms smuggling, adds to her growing criminal record.
Zoya married Hashim Baba in 2017 after divorcing her first husband. The two were neighbors in northeast Delhi, and their relationship quickly turned into a marriage. Her arrest now marks a major blow to the criminal network that had been operating under the radar for years.
