Kokumo Olatunbosun Arrested for Burglary and Theft in Ogun State

AGO-IWOYE — Kokumo Olatunbosun, a former convict, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly breaking into a home in the Imoro area of Ago-Iwoye and stealing items worth N1,640,000. The arrest took place on January 6, 2025, after the suspect gained entry into the home by cutting the electric wire and jumping over the fence.

The suspect, who had two prior convictions, used a plier to cut the wire on top of the high fence and entered through a window. Upon realizing the family had returned home, Olatunbosun hid in the storeroom. Among the stolen items were jewelry worth N100,000 and an iPhone 13 valued at N680,000. He also damaged several items, including the window burglary and louvers, with a total damage value of N860,000.

Detectives acted quickly on a tip-off and arrested Olatunbosun, recovering the stolen jewelry, but the iPhone 13 is still missing. The suspect is currently in custody, undergoing investigation, and is expected to face prosecution once the investigation is concluded.
