In a crackdown on drug-related activities, Kochi City police arrested five individuals, including a woman, across four separate cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police seized approximately 10 grams of MDMA and 5.50 kg of ganja during the operations.
In one of the cases, 36-year-old Jayesh from Kannur was arrested by the Maradu police with 1.53 grams of MDMA in Vytilla. In another case, the Palarivattom police arrested 31-year-old Lins Isaac from Kannur and 26-year-old Tasni C.T. from Mattancherry, allegedly with 3.34 kg of ganja. The arrests highlight ongoing efforts by the police to tackle drug trafficking in the region.
