Kinston Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Traffic Stop in Lenoir County

A routine traffic stop in Lenoir County led to the arrest of a Kinston man on Monday, facing drug-related charges.

Harold Patrick Winter Jr., 35, was pulled over by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office for a traffic violation. Following the stop, authorities say detectives found probable cause to conduct a search, which led to the discovery of methamphetamine on Winter’s person, as well as drug needles inside his vehicle.

Winter has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently being held at the Lenoir County Jail on a $15,000 secured bond.
