Leamington, ONT. – Kevin Goodings, 61, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder following a homicide investigation in Leamington.
Essex County OPP took Goodings into custody on March 15, 2025, a day after naming him a suspect in the death of Anita Goodings, 83. The victim was found deceased inside a residence in the 200 block of Sherk Street on March 12 after police responded to a well-being check.
A post-mortem examination confirmed foul play, prompting an extensive investigation led by the Essex County OPP Crime Unit with support from the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
Goodings remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice on March 16.
