Kevin Campana Arrested After Stealing Car, Fleeing Police

EDGEWATER, Fla. – Kevin Campana, 31, has been arrested by Edgewater police after allegedly stealing a customer’s car from Hibiscus Wholesale Auto Parts Inc. and leading officers on a high-speed chase early Tuesday morning.

The theft occurred on the eve of Christmas Eve, when a 911 caller reported the car was stolen from the auto repair shop on Flagler Avenue. Body-worn camera footage from the pursuit shows officers chasing Campana as he attempted to evade capture, dodging spike strips and failing to get onto Interstate 95.

The police video, shared by Edgewater PD on Christmas, reveals the dramatic moments when officers rammed Campana’s vehicle off the road, disabling it. The suspect’s car overturned, and police swiftly pulled him from the wreckage and arrested him.

Campana is currently held on a $32,500 bond, facing charges including fleeing and eluding law enforcement, grand theft of a motor vehicle, burglary of an unoccupied structure, and driving with a revoked license.
