Kerala Man Arrested for Cyber Crime and Digital Extortion in Mangaluru

he Mangaluru police have arrested Nissar, a resident of Ernakulam district in Kerala, in connection with two separate cyber crime cases, including an extortion case involving a ‘digital arrest.’ Nissar is accused of posing as a CBI officer and extorting Rs68 lakh from a resident of Kavoor by falsely claiming the individual was under investigation.

The police tracked down Nissar in Ernakulam, where he was arrested and later produced before a city Magistrate. He was remanded to 14 days of judicial custody. Nissar is reportedly involved in six cyber crime cases, including one registered in Bengaluru. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities seeking to uncover further details of his criminal activities.
