Keontae Jackson Arrested in Corning After Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Seizure

CORNING, Calif. — A routine traffic stop in Corning on Monday morning led to the arrest of a man wanted on a felony warrant from Texas, along with the discovery of drugs and illegal ammunition.

At approximately 7:44 a.m., Corning Police officers initiated a traffic stop on a Mercedes Benz for speeding and running a stop sign. During the stop, officers identified the passenger as 25-year-old Keontae Jackson, who was wanted in Texas on a full extradition felony warrant.

Upon arresting Jackson, a search of the vehicle uncovered 2.8 pounds of marijuana in vacuum-sealed bags, multiple rounds of unspent ammunition, and two high-capacity magazines.

Jackson was subsequently booked into the Tehama County Jail on multiple charges, including possession of marijuana for sale, being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, and possession of a high-capacity magazine.
