Baton Rouge, La. (WAFB) — Police have arrested Kenzie Rick, 25, in connection with a drug investigation. According to the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD), Rick was taken into custody on Monday, February 17.
The investigation began with surveillance at a residence on Bellhaven Drive in Baton Rouge. Police said the findings from this surveillance led to the execution of a search warrant.
During the search, officers uncovered a significant amount of drugs and paraphernalia, including a blue luggage bag containing marijuana in sandwich bags, a digital scale, and a total of 3,496 grams of marijuana spread across several bags. Additionally, police seized a jar of marijuana weighing 73 grams, a vacuum-sealed bag of marijuana (541g), assorted drug paraphernalia, and a black multi-caliber Anderson Arms AM-15 AR pistol. They also found multiple oxycodone-acetaminophen pills.
Rick faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of minors, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of controlled substances such as oxycodone and Promethazine HCI with Codeine Phosphate.
