Kendrick Tate Arrested in Mount Dora for Child Trafficking

MOUNT DORA, Fla. – Kendrick Tate, 34, was arrested Wednesday in Mount Dora on charges of trafficking and sexually assaulting a young girl. According to the Mount Dora Police Department, Tate faces charges of human trafficking for commercial sex acts involving a child under 18, as well as sexual battery on a child aged between 12 and 18.

The investigation began in October 2024, when authorities were alerted that the girl was a victim of sex trafficking. Following months of investigation, Tate was identified as the suspect. He was arrested by Lake County deputies on Wednesday, the same day an arrest warrant was issued.

Tate remains in custody at the Lake County Jail without bond, according to jail records.
