UTICA, N.Y. — Kendra Kenyon, 28, of Utica, was arrested after leading police on a chase following a traffic stop on October 20. Around 7:30 p.m., officers from the Utica Police Department, along with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, attempted to pull over Kenyon’s vehicle on Court Street for traffic violations. However, Kenyon fled the scene, prompting a brief pursuit. The chase was soon abandoned when she reached dangerously high speeds.
Officers later spotted the vehicle again near Parker Street, and as they attempted to stop it, Kenyon drove into a driveway and fled on foot. After a struggle, officers managed to apprehend her. During the process, she provided false information but was eventually identified.
Kenyon, who has no permanent address, was found to have outstanding warrants. While being transported to Wynn Hospital for ankle pain, she attempted to escape but was quickly caught. She now faces charges including escape, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, aggravated unlicensed operation, probation violation, and several traffic law violations.
