A suspect has been taken into custody following an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven store in Stafford County earlier this month. Kendall Woods, 32, of Stafford, was arrested on January 10 after being identified as the suspect in the January 2 robbery.
At approximately 4:25 a.m. on January 2, Woods entered the 7-Eleven located at 1 Commerce Parkway, brandishing a handgun and demanding cash from the register. Surveillance footage captured him stuffing money into a bag before fleeing the scene.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit, in collaboration with local witnesses and video evidence, identified Woods as the suspect and tracked down the vehicle linked to the crime. Further investigation revealed that Woods was located in Charlottesville.
On January 10, Stafford County detectives worked with the Charlottesville Police Department to arrest Woods without incident. He was transported to Rappahannock Regional Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.
Woods faces charges of armed robbery, and his arrest highlights the success of cooperation between local law enforcement agencies.
