Kelly Schleusener Arrested for Stealing Over $290K from Town Treasury

Kelly Schleusener, 50, the Town of Adrian treasurer in Monroe County, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly embezzling over $294,000 from township accounts. Investigators believe Schleusener had been withdrawing money since April 2022, with the total amount stolen exceeding $294,000.

Schleusener was booked into the Monroe County Jail on charges of misconduct in office and theft. The investigation into the matter is still ongoing.

Schleusener’s bond hearing is scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m.
