Keerthi Teja Arrested for Murdering Grandfather, Velamati Chandrasekhar Janardhan Rao

Keerthi Teja, the grandson of industrialist Velamati Chandrasekhar Janardhan Rao, has been arrested by Punjagutta police for allegedly murdering his 86-year-old grandfather over a property dispute. The crime took place on Thursday night at Janardhan Rao’s residence in Hyderabad.

According to the police, Keerthi Teja stabbed his grandfather 73 times following a heated argument about property matters. The police have gathered biological samples from the accused and sent them for forensic analysis to determine if he was under the influence of any substances when the crime was committed.

ACP S. Mohan Kumar of Punjagutta confirmed that once the forensic reports are received, authorities will know more about whether drugs played a role in the murder. The case is currently under investigation.
