Kaup Police Arrest Two in Attempted ATM Theft Near Mangaluru Port

Kaup Police arrested two individuals on Wednesday near Mangaluru port in connection with an attempted ATM theft that occurred on February 12 in Udyavara village, within Kaup Police Station limits.

The suspects, identified as Abubakkar Siddique (24) from Manjanady, Mangaluru, and Mohammad Yaseen (21) from Kannur, Mangaluru, were arrested after police seized several items linked to the attempted theft. These included a two-wheeler, jacket, helmet, cap, hand gloves, a knife, a hammer, and a bag. The authorities suspect the items were intended for use in the ATM theft.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to gather further details about the suspects’ involvement in similar crimes in the area.
