Kasim Fayaz Arrested for Stealing Gold Jewelry Worth Rs 10 Lakh

Colva Police have arrested Kasim Fayaz from Udupi, Karnataka, for allegedly stealing gold jewelry worth Rs 10 lakh from Club Mahindra, Varca on October 21, 2024. The arrest was made possible through electronic surveillance, which led to his capture at Cavelossim, where police also recovered the stolen jewelry.

During interrogation, Fayaz revealed that he had handed over the stolen gold to his friend, SM Pradeep, in Karnataka, using it as security for a loan. Following this revelation, the police collaborated with Karnataka authorities, and the jewelry was retrieved from a financial institution.

Further questioning revealed that Kasim Fayaz was involved in similar thefts at the hotel on multiple occasions, as he confessed to his repeated criminal activities. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to gather more information about his previous thefts.
