A Dubois County woman, Karla G. Alcantara, 20, is now facing multiple charges after a police search of her home uncovered marijuana, marijuana wax, drug paraphernalia, and nearly $1,800 in cash.
The Jasper Police Department reported that officers began the investigation following complaints of drug activity at a residence on North Portersville Road. Around noon on Sunday, JPD conducted a search of the home, leading to the discovery of several containers of marijuana wax, raw marijuana, various paraphernalia items, and cash totaling approximately $1,800.
According to JPD, Alcantara resides at the property and is responsible for the items found. She was subsequently taken into custody and booked into the Dubois County Jail. Her charges include misdemeanor counts of dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and a felony charge for maintaining a common nuisance.
