Duplin County, NC — Kari Taylor and Braxton Taylor were arrested on Saturday in Duplin County after stealing a U-Haul truck. The Duplin County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the Warsaw Police Department, successfully apprehended the couple following a series of tips from local residents.
Kari Taylor, from Kenansville, was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle, while Braxton Taylor, also from Kenansville, faces charges of larceny of a motor vehicle.
The stolen U-Haul truck was reported to have been taken from Warsaw. It was later located at 115 Ben Hardy Lane, near Kenansville.
Kari Taylor is currently being held at the Duplin County Jail with a secured bond set at $15,000. Braxton Taylor remains in custody without bond.
Authorities were able to track the stolen vehicle and the individuals after receiving multiple tips from local residents who had seen them operating the U-Haul around Duplin County.
