Karen Lopez & Cristian Moreno Arrested for Stealing Tools in OC

IRVINE, Calif. — Two Los Angeles residents were arrested on Jan. 22 after being accused of stealing over $2,000 worth of tools from Home Depot stores across Orange County.

Karen Juliana Hurtado Lopez, 23, and Cristian David Moreno, 22, were pulled over by Irvine police after their vehicle was spotted without a license plate. Upon investigation, officers found stolen merchandise in their vehicle, which linked them to thefts from nearby Home Depot locations.

Moreno was also wanted for a $25,000 warrant for organized theft, while Lopez faced charges of fraudulent identification and conspiracy. Both were booked into the Orange County Jail. The case remains under investigation.
