Two members of a vehicle theft gang, Karandeep Singh (alias Karan) and Gurjit Singh, were arrested by Mohali police after their involvement in a series of vehicle thefts outside CP67 Mall and Bestech Mall, Sector 66. The police successfully recovered eight bikes and two scooters from the suspects, who are residents of Badala Kalan, Amritsar.
According to Harsimran Singh Bal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City-2, the duo had been stealing vehicles parked in the vicinity of the malls and later selling them in various parts of Amritsar. All the stolen vehicles have now been recovered.
The accused individuals were charged under Section 303 (2) of the BNS at the Phase-11 police station and were presented in court, as confirmed by Station House Officer Gagandeep Singh.
