Kapil Goyal Arrested in Rs1.25 Crore Fraud Case in Indore

A notorious criminal, Kapil Goyal, has been arrested in connection with a Rs1.25 crore fraud in Indore. The arrest was made on Monday by Lasudia Police, following a complaint filed by Narendra Kumar Maheshwari, a 40-year-old resident of Talawali Chanda.

Goyal, who had been absconding for several months, is accused of defrauding Maheshwari by promising to sell him a plot of land. According to the victim’s complaint, Goyal, along with his three associates, took the sum of Rs1.25 crore under the pretense of providing land, but never delivered on the promise.

The accused has a criminal history with multiple cases registered against him at various police stations in the city, including Khudel, MG Road, and MIG police stations. He was also wanted in a separate case at Khudel Police Station.

After receiving information and reviewing technical evidence, a special police team was formed to trace Goyal’s whereabouts. Based on informants’ inputs, the team successfully located and arrested him near Kampel village. He was later presented in court, and police remand was granted for further interrogation.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Aditya Patle confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are now collecting additional evidence related to this case.
