Kangra Police Arrest Two Drug Peddlers for Charas Possession

On Sunday, the Kangra police made two significant arrests in connection with drug trafficking, seizing a total of over 750 grams of charas.

In the first case, Shyam Singh, a resident of Padhar, was arrested at Baijnath police station with 509 grams of charas in his possession. A case has been filed against him under Sections 20, 61, and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In a separate incident, Shyam Prakash, from Dayol, was caught with 252.20 grams of charas. He too has been booked under the NDPS Act for his involvement in drug trafficking.

Both men are facing legal consequences under the stringent NDPS laws, as the authorities continue to crack down on illegal drug trade in the region.
