Jaora city police in Ratlam district recently made a significant drug bust, arresting two individuals and seizing 200 grams of MD drugs valued at Rs 20 lakh. The arrest took place late Tuesday night, following a tip-off.
The two suspects, Kamlesh Jain (51) from Shastri Nagar and Sabir Khan (27) from Dat Ki Pul, were apprehended during a police operation near Patel Hotel on the Mhow-Neemuch four-lane road. Along with the drugs, the police also confiscated a white car worth approximately Rs 7 lakh.
During questioning, the accused admitted that the seized drugs were intended for delivery to Sunil Surya, a resident of Shastri Nagar, who is currently on the run. Surya is reportedly wanted in several criminal cases.
