Two women have been arrested after being caught on video stealing shoes from a Shreveport, Louisiana, store. The theft occurred on Sunday night at DSW Shoes on Youree Drive, where the suspects were filmed loading boxes of shoes into a car.
Shreveport Police Department (SPD) confirmed that 17 boxes of women’s UGG boots, valued at $199 each, were stolen. A vigilant customer managed to capture a clear image of the car’s license plate, aiding authorities in their investigation.
On Tuesday morning, SPD property crimes detectives executed a search warrant at the home of one of the suspects, Kamique Pineset, 37. Several stolen boxes of UGG boots were recovered from the residence.
The second suspect, Rashawnita D. Rogers, was arrested later that evening after police issued a public notice seeking her arrest.
Both Pineset and Rogers are facing charges of organized retail theft in connection with the crime.
