TULSA, Okla. — A man was taken into custody in connection with a burglary at the Tulsa County Courthouse. On January 2, cleaning staff alerted Tulsa County deputies after noticing signs of a break-in at the courthouse.
According to the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), the suspect used a metal rod to force open the doors. Upon reviewing surveillance footage, investigators linked the break-in to a previous incident involving vandalism at the Tulsa County Headquarters parking lot. The same individual, later identified as Justin Stokes, was seen defacing a vehicle by spraying paint on it, jamming a metal wire into the driver’s side door, and placing a traffic cone under the vehicle’s roof rack.
Stokes, who had been scheduled for a court appearance in relation to a previous case, was arrested on January 9 at the courthouse.
