ALBANY, N.Y. — Justin Bouldin, a 48-year-old Albany man, was found guilty on Monday of felony drug charges after a jury trial in Albany County Court.
The Albany County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Bouldin was convicted of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. These charges stemmed from an incident that occurred on February 10 when Bouldin was found in possession of more than 8 ounces of cocaine in the area of Sherman Street and Lexington Avenue in Albany. Authorities stated that Bouldin intended to sell the drugs and was also carrying a digital scale, commonly used to weigh and package narcotics.
During the arrest, Bouldin attempted to flee, but was quickly apprehended by the police. Assistant District Attorney Ryan Carty commended the Albany County Sheriff’s Office for their diligent work in addressing the drug case, emphasizing the importance of keeping harmful substances out of the community.
Bouldin is scheduled to be sentenced on February 13, 2025. As a predicate felon, he faces a potential sentence of up to 24 years in state prison. He remains in custody pending sentencing.
