Judon Darnell Collins and Mary Crane Arrested for Evading Police in West University Place

Two individuals, Judon Darnell Collins and Mary Crane, were arrested on November 30 after a police pursuit in West University Place, Texas, following a report of trespassing and suspicious activity in nearby Southside Place. The suspects, both with extensive criminal histories, were charged with evading arrest/detention after fleeing from officers during the investigation.

The incident began at 2:34 p.m. when Southside Place Police received a report of two people trespassing in a backyard. Officers from West University Place quickly spotted two suspects walking on University Boulevard, matching the description provided by witnesses. Upon attempting to make contact, the suspects fled, running into nearby backyards. Police were able to apprehend Collins without incident. Crane jumped a fence and continued to flee but was captured shortly after in the 3700 block of Bellaire Boulevard.

Both suspects are now in custody, with authorities continuing their investigation. Collins, who has a criminal record in Harris County, faces several prior charges, including aggravated assault and multiple theft-related offenses. Crane’s criminal history includes charges for criminal trespass, burglary, and theft.
