Jubilee Hills Police Arrest Kanti for Fraud and Forgery in Jewelry Business

The Jubilee Hills police arrested Kanti on Sunday for fraud and forging documents while working at a private company. The arrest came after a complaint was filed by Tippala Srija, a 32-year-old entrepreneur, in February 2023.

According to the First Information Report , Srija and Kanti had co-founded a jewelry company in July 2023, with Srija investing Rs 2.5 crore. However, in the final week of August 2023, Kanti allegedly submitted a form to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, forging Srija’s signature on a resignation letter without her knowledge or consent.

On the same day, Kanti reportedly convened a board meeting, during which the meeting accepted Srija’s resignation and removed her as the company’s director. Unaware of these developments, Srija later filed a Right to Information request in September and uncovered the forged resignation letter. She soon learned that Kanti had appointed his mother, Sridevi Thonangi, as her replacement.

After the complaint was lodged, the Jubilee Hills police launched an investigation. They discovered that Kanti had a history of similar fraudulent activities, with a pattern of using the same tactics in different companies. Further investigations revealed that Kanti was also involved in a hit-and-run case at the Madhapur police station and had another case registered at the Central Crime Station .

Kanti was arrested at his residence in Shaikpet, Filmnagar, and is now facing multiple charges of fraud and document forgery. The police are continuing their investigation to uncover the full extent of his activities.
